Citizen scientists play an important role in many camera trap projects across the world, helping researchers conduct studies on unprecedented scales and manage the enormous amounts of data collected. The brains behind eMammal met with Wildlife Insights in February to set the course for citizen science in the WI platform.
eMammal is a leader in citizen science for wildlife monitoring, supporting many large-scale citizen science projects, hosting millions of images, and providing training and resources for volunteers and educators. Wildlife Insights will collaborate with eMammal for best practices on creating a space where citizen scientists and researchers around the world can connect and collaborate on wildlife conservation projects.
